One of the aspects that ANATO has prioritized is the training of human talent and business strengthening, essential tools to make tourism in Colombia a sector that has the necessary skills to face the national and international market.

In line with these strategies, on September 23 and 24, at the Expofuturo de Pereira Convention Center, the Association, with the support of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism and the Fontur, will hold the most important academic event of tourism in the country: The National Congress of Travel and Tourism Agencies 2021, which this year reaches its 25th version and which, taking into account the current situation, will orient its themes towards innovation, commercial effectiveness and transformation, under the slogan "Adaptation and innovation : the future of tourism ",

The activity, aimed at Travel and Tourism Agents, Wholesalers and Operators, as well as tourist entrepreneurs from airlines, hotels, restaurants, official bodies, among others, will have the participation of the National and regional Government, through María Ximena Lombana, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Tourism; Ricardo Galindo Bueno, Vice Minister of Tourism; Luis Alexander Moscoso, Vice Minister of Public Health and Provision of Services; Víctor Manuel Tamayo, governor of Risaralda; Carlos Maya, mayor of Pereira.

“The way of traveling and the preferences of travelers are no longer the same and have been changing due to the epidemiological situation. We must be prepared to adapt to the needs of the new tourist, who, in addition to looking for products and destinations, also demands service and that is where we must innovate and / or strengthen the tools that Travel Agencies, as well as other businessmen in the sector, we will provide. It is essential that they have a vision of the tourist environment, and that they integrate concepts and instruments that improve their activity ”, explained Paula Cortés Calle, executive president of ANATO.

The event has the confirmation of exceptional speakers such as Ricardo Leyva (Colombia), cataloged as one of the most innovative entrepreneurs in the country, passionate about brands and customer service; María Clara Villegas (Colombia), speaker, writer and consultant who will bring a transformative message about success; and Sergi Corbeto (Spain), considered an authority on disruptive innovation, focused on people management.
