In 2025, Iberia surpassed its previous record for connectivity between Latin America and Europe, scheduling more than 5.5 million seats on this air bridge this year, 5% more than the 5.3 million offered in 2024. This figure marks a new historic milestone for the airline.

This growth will allow Iberia to operate more than 350 flights across the Atlantic by 2025, connecting Latin America with Europe in a single week, surpassing the 330 weekly frequencies achieved in certain periods of the previous year. "We are very proud to present these connectivity figures between Latin America and Europe, which help us continue to consolidate our strong
leadership position between both regions and continue to position ourselves as the preferred option when crossing this air corridor, especially at a time like the present, as we are about to celebrate 80 years since we became the first airline to make this journey across the Atlantic Ocean. Although our history with Latin America goes back a long way, this record is the result of a reinforcement of our commitment to the region that we have been promoting for several years," says Marina Colunga, Iberia's Commercial Director for Latin America.

This milestone is reflected in significant growth in several of the Latin American markets where Iberia operates:
 Peru: where it has reached two daily flights.
 Chile: will end the year with 12 weekly flights.
 Puerto Rico: will have up to 11 weekly flights.
 Dominican Republic: will end 2025 and begin 2026 with two operations per day, except for one day of the week.

These capacity increases are in addition to the consolidation of other growths that took place in the final weeks of last year, such as the increase to three daily flights with Buenos Aires and two daily flights with Sao Paulo. Similarly, the routes with Mexico City and Bogotá have three daily flights each, while Montevideo, Quito, Guatemala, El Salvador, and Costa Rica have one flight per day. Finally, Rio de Janeiro and Caracas have five weekly flights, while Panama City, Havana, and Guayaquil have three weekly flights. It is worth mentioning that on December 13, Iberia will begin operating its new route to the Brazilian city of Recife, where it will begin operations with three weekly flights.

Madrid, ever closer
Amid this increase in capacity between Latin America and Europe, the increased use by Latin American customers of the Hola Madrid stopover program stands out. This program allows them to extend their stopover in Madrid by up to nine nights and enjoy a wide range of discounts and benefits on accommodation, leisure, dining, and transportation in the Spanish capital. The Hola Madrid stopover, which is free of charge, allows customers to take advantage of this stopover in the city both on the way to and from any of Iberia's other destinations in Spain, Europe, or the rest of the world.
