Peru present in Madrid the best of its gastronomic and sports tourism

The delegation is chaired by the Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism, Edgar Vásquez, who is accompanied by 20 co-exhibitors

One of the main announcements is the return of the gastronomic fair ‘Peru, Mucho Gusto’ to Lima, after more than a decade developing inside the country. The appointment will be from September 23 to 27 and promises to maintain its essence: protect customs and promote the use of local inputs, promoting new culinary techniques.
It is important to note that Peru was recognized for the eighth consecutive year as 'Best culinary destination in the world' at the World Travel Awards 2019, which consolidates us as an unmissable destination among travelers who love good food, who find in Peru a cuisine with history, tradition, originality and sustainability.
On the other hand, the Peruvian capital will be announced as the headquarters of the World Skate Lima Open. Between March 16 and 22, this tournament will bring together the best skaters in the world, who will compete to qualify for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. To this are added the preparations for the celebration of the U17 Soccer World Cup, which Peru will organize next year.
The Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Export and Tourism (PROMPERÚ) is promoting the development of sports tourism in Peru for its unique conditions for this segment, as we have a diversity of natural scenarios, connectivity and modern infrastructure. This was demonstrated with the realization of the XVIII Pan American and Parapan American Games Lima 2019.
It should be remembered that last year Peru hosted other major sports competitions, such as the Dakar Rally (which covered the regions of Lima, Ica, Arequipa, Moquegua and Tacna), as well as the Half Marathon des Sables and the Cup final Liberators

The data
